About Me

S5LR

I am a newcomer to this hobby. My first engine is a Roundhouse Katie, built from a kit, and runs well, it has been renamed, 'Vicky' and has a whistle, drain cock steam effect, and 24mhz radio, also lined by Lightline in britomart, plus lady ann style buffer beams from Alan Briggs. Lookin' good!

Shed 5 light railway is under reconstruction at present, expanding into the new shed 6, replacing the old garage, and making about 20 + meters of track at eye level.

More engines on order, so more to follow!

About Me

Into anything to do with narrow gauge, mainly model in 009 scale, and enjoy helping out on RWTV.

The name of my present layout is 'Heckman Road', unusual you may think, but when I announced to my wife that I was starting a new project she said, "heck man not another railway" and so the name sort of stuck, and it did sound a bit North East England which the area of my ficticious line. Yet another layout is now in the final stages of planning, but so far we have not come up with a name, it is a collaboration between myself and my wife, so she cannot say anything about it. YET!!

About Me

An Englishman in Northwest Florida (nowhere near DisneyWorld!) trying to create British outline narrow gauge amongst Lizards, snakes and hurricanes.

Currently an end to end layout of about 250'.

A general interest in railways with a bias towards, narrow gauge, The Great Western and other mind altering subjects.
